During Children’s Book Week, our library celebrated the creativity and kindness found in the books of author Dav Pilkey. Each day during patio time, students joined in fun activities inspired by their beloved characters. They participated in a Dav Pilkey Read-A-Thon, enjoyed creating their own comic strips, and reflected on ways they could help their community, just like Dog Man, earning a special badge for their efforts. Students also had the chance to enjoy a read-aloud with our guest reader, Mr. Bradly Rivera, our elementary school principal, and ended the week with a Dog Man Movie Day in the library. It was a week full of reading, creativity, and inspiration!

This month, our students took part in several meaningful wellness activities centered around social-emotional learning (SEL). Through games, group discussions, and creative projects, students explored topics like respect, assertiveness, what is bullying, mental health, managing emotions, empathy, among many others.

These activities helped everyone pause, connect, and reflect on how we can take care of ourselves and support others, both in and out of the classroom. It has been wonderful to see our students growing not just academically, but also as caring, confident individuals!

Celebrating Excellence and Character…

As we gather to honor our Honor Society members, across Elementary, Middle, and Upper School Divisions, we take a moment to reflect on what this recognition truly represents. Being part of an Honor Society is not just about academic excellence, it is a true testament to a student’s unwavering commitment to the four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

Each of our inductees has demonstrated dedication to learning, led through service, and treated others with kindness and respect. They remind us that true excellence shines brightly when it is shared; when we use our talents to uplift our school, our community, and one another.

May this milestone inspire every student to continue learning with curiosity, leading with compassion, and living with purpose. Congratulations to all our National Honor Society members, you make us proud!

A Celebration of Language, Culture, and Reading…

One of the joys of this month has been watching our Preschool and Elementary students dive into the Maratón de Lectura Puertorriqueña, a cherished celebration of Puerto Rican literature and a beautiful reminder of the power of reading to connect us to culture, language, and one another. Throughout the event, our youngest learners explored stories by Puerto Rican authors, discovered new vocabulary, and engaged in meaningful conversations about identity, tradition, and imagination. More than just a reading event, the ³¾²¹°ù²¹³Ùó²Ô fostered pride in linguistic and cultural roots while nurturing a lifelong love for literature.

¡Un Espacio Narrativo!

As part of the Maratón Puertorriqueño de Lectura celebrations, our preschool students enjoyed a special visit from Espacio Narrativo. During this engaging event, the children sang songs, danced, and participated in an interactive read-aloud. Espacio Narrativo is dedicated to fostering a love of reading through fun and creative activities, and our students truly had a wonderful time.
